The Washington Commanders have completely altered the outlook of their organization over the past few years. Ousting Dan Snyder as the team owner and having him replaced by Josh Harris certainly helps.
Yet, the Commanders wouldn’t be here without the help of head coach Dan Quinn and superstar quarterback Jayden Daniels. After all, that leadership duo combined to help the Commanders reach the NFC Conference Championship for the first time since 1991.
Now, according to Kevin Sheehan of The Team 980, Washington’s franchise is now considering going back to a uniform design that resembles the old uniforms, without the Redskins logo.
Washington’s jersey designs have undergone several changes over the years. Perhaps most notable was when they simply wore a ‘W’ on the side of their helmets while operating as the Washington Football Team for two seasons.
Of course, they’ve since rebranded, and fans have seemingly bought into the team’s new look. Of course, winning 12 games in a single season surely helps.
It seems hard to imagine the Commanders rebranding so quickly again, especially after they’ve experienced success. Yet, many fans still miss the old days, and they’re still hoping to see a jersey that resembles the one they grew up adoring. We’ll see if the Commanders return to tradition or blend a mix of their new style along with their old one.
