The Washington Commanders announced that four players didn’t travel with the team for their international game in Madrid, Spain. All four players are dealing with injuries. Dan Quinn told reporters this morning that WR Terry McLaurin would make the trip, even though he won’t be playing. He’s still recovering from the quad injury that he aggravated during his first game back three weeks ago. This will be his seventh game missed due to the injury this season.
Quinn also said that QB Jayden Daniels wasn’t traveling with the team. He was on the sidelines at the Lions game on Sunday with a brace on his left elbow that he dislocated vs the Seahawks the previous week. Daniels and McLaurin will be evaluated after the team’s Week 12 bye.
Washington will also be without two more players from their defense. Dan Quinn told reporters earlier today that rookie CB Trey Amos fractured his fibula and will miss significant time. He is likely done for the season. Kale Aho is an undrafted free agent linebacker from UCLA who has been playing on special teams when active. He suffered a concussion playing on a kickoff, and will miss the trip overseas.
Wide receiver Treylon Burks was active for his second game on Sunday after being signed by the team. He’s a former first-round pick, who has dealt with injuries throughout his NFL career. He can add finger surgery to the list, and he’ll be out for at least this week. Burks had three catches for 58 yards, including a nice 37-yard grab. Burks should be able to return after the bye.
