The Washington Commanders have been dealing with a lot of injuries early in the season, and they suffered a few more vs the Raiders. Jayden Daniels, John Bates, and Noah Brown were already out, and then five more players were injured on Sunday. WR Terry McLaurin was listed as questionable to return with a quad injury. His last play was a 57-yard catch from QB Marcus Mariota that was initially ruled a TD, but expedited review stepped in to take those points off the board. McLaurin was later seen retrieving Luke McCaffrey’s first touchdown ball.
Dan Quinn didn’t give an update on McLaurin’s injury when he talked to reporters yesterday, but Adam Schefter is reporting that he’s getting a second opinion and he’s uncertain to play the Falcons in Atlanta on Sunday. McLaurin is Washington’s #1 WR and he spent most of the summer trying to get a new contract to get paid like one. His numbers for the season have been improving each week, but an injury deflates that weekly improvement.
