The Washington Commanders are hosting at least one defensive back after multiple players were injured in yesterday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Jeremy Fowler reports that Former Packers and Jaguars S Darnell Savage is visiting and could end up signing if the workout goes well. Will Harris suffered a broken fibula and is expected to miss time. Trey Amos(calf), Marshon Lattimore(concussion), and Percy Butler(hip) also left the game, but there haven’t been any updates.
Savage(5’11”, 198 lbs, 28yo) played at Maryland for four years(2015-18) before getting drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1st round of the 2019 NFL draft. He spent his first five seasons with the Packers, before signing a 3-year, $21.75 million deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He started 13 games for them last season, but only played 48 snaps on defense in the two games he played before getting released last week.
