Rumors have been bandied about for months that the New York Jets would be open to the idea of trading runningback Breece Hall. Apparently, the staff is high on second year runningbacks Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis, making Hall somewhat expendable.

While Hall would undoubtedly be of interest to many teams because of his talent level, apparently no one has been willing to meet what the Jets have deemed a fair price. Based on a recent trade, that reasonably price may never come to fruition unless the Jets are willing to take a day 3 pick.

Specifically, the Washington Commanders traded their presumed starting runningback Brian Robinson for a 6th round pick.

While Hall is arguably better than Robinson, particularly in the passing games where Hall hauled in 57 catches last season compared to Robinson’s 20 catches, I can’t imagine that the cost between Hall and Robinson is so steep that we’d see one net a 6th and the other net a day 2 pick. If that’s all that’s to be had, then the Jets are likely better off keeping Hall, at least in my evaluation. But what do you think?
