The Las Vegas Raiders franchise has a history of dealing with Pass Rusher Von Miller. The former defensive player of the year and Super Bowl MVP has haunted the Raiders’ tackle for most of the last decade.
Miller is past his prime at 37, but he is still producing in the NFL on the back end of his career. With the Washington Commanders’ last season, Miller had 36 pressures according to PFF, with nine sacks on the year. Even with losing a step, Miller can help any team’s pass rush as a mentor and player.
While hosting the Sack Summit in Las Vegas, he was joined by Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby. He then became a guest on Crosby’s Rush podcast and discussed where he wants to play next season. When describing the type of team he wants to play for, he attempted to capture Crosby’s attention.
“I would love to be on a team that has a great quarterback, a great pass rush, a system in place … (pauses to look at Crosby) Raiders!”
The Raiders did add Kwity Paye and re-sign Malcolm Koonce. Miller would be a welcome addition. He can help out Sack Summit attendee Keyron Crawford develop into a better edge rusher, as well as other young players. John Spytek might not make the move, but Miller is open to the opportunity.
