The Minnesota Vikings have drawn a lot of attention this offseason because of their quarterback situation, but there is plenty of talent all over the roster that makes this an intriguing team heading into the 2026 season.
One of those players is standout left tackle Christian Darrisaw, who is one of the most talented blockers in the league when he is healthy. However, he has been limited to just 17 games over the last two seasons due to persistent knee problems.
Now, Darrisaw is healthy heading into Minnesota’s mandatory minicamp. According to right tackle Bryan O’Neill, Darrisaw is looking very good and healthy, via Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune.
“Brian O’Neill said today that Christian Darrisaw ‘looks unbelievable’ in his first full offseason back from his torn ACL,” Goessling reported on X, formerly Twitter.
O’Neill later added that he was pumped to have the star tackle duo in Minnesota back healthy and ready to go this season.
“I’m so fired up to get him back to what we know he is, and what we know he can be,” O’Neill said. “I hope people didn’t forget who he is, because that’s one of the best tackles in the league.”
All eyes are currently on the Vikings’ QB competition between Kyler Murray and JJ McCarthy, and both players have plenty to prove for different reasons. Murray is looking to revive his career after being exiled from the Arizona Cardinals, while McCarthy is looking rebound in his third season after missing his rookie year with an injury and struggling mightily in 2025.
Both need good offensive line play in order to have the best chance of success, so these are great signs from Darrisaw in mandatory minicamp.
If the offensive line does hold up, the Vikings have some great receivers for whoever ends up being the starter in Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings. If the quarterback situation works out and Darrisaw can stay healthy up front, this Vikings offense has the chance to be one of the best in the league this fall.
