Do Fries come with that order?

The first day of free agency saw a flurry of activity and a lot of huge deals. Some of these were way more than expected including Byron Murphy. I would rather have DJ Reed at 16M per year but we do not know the guaranteed money parts of both deals yet. That will really be the true worth of the contract. I heard it mentioned that Murphy only has 35M guaranteed. That probably will cover two years making the third year a larger amount. As they say, the devil is in the details eh?

I like the Murphy signing because of the experience he has in Flores’ defense. DJ Reed and any other cornerback would have had to learn this defense.

I like the Rodgers signing too. I think it is a little high but he is young and ascending so maybe they might have a bargain on their hands?

Obviously, the Ryan Kelly signing was very good and an upgrade for Bradbury was long overdue. 9M per year is less than the 14M per year that Drew Dalman received although Dalman is just about 5 years younger.

I just saw that the Vikings signed Jonathan Allen which is great.

What other free agents will they target or do you want them to target?

Will Fries is at the top of most people’s list. Kwesi is sticking to his “walk away price” mantra which I think is very smart. The deals thus far have been pretty good with Murphy and Jones being overpays but at least they were in-house players.

I wonder if they will bring in Brandon Scherff for even more experience on the line. I saw a tweet from some random dude that said the Vikings were interested in Dillon Radunz. Maybe that is the pivot?

The first is that Rodgers is a smaller cornerback. He’s a similar player to Mekhi Blackmon in terms of frame, being listed at 5’-10”, 170 lbs. He also plays mostly on the outside with 368 snaps on the outside compared to just 29 in the box and 18 in the slot.
