Kyler Murray has a quarterback battle to focus on with the Minnesota Vikings, but some fans think that he is in a different competition.
On Wednesday, a Jalen Brunson lookalike contest at Washington Square Park in New York was held, and some fans online jokingly think that it was actually a Kyler Murray lookalike contest.
Here is a video shared by Meredith Gorman of FOX 5 NY that shows the event and the participants, including one in full New York Knicks gear.
The Jalen Brunson lookalike contest just happened in Washington Square Park and I quite honestly have never seen so many dopplegangers. @fox5ny pic.twitter.com/qByJ6Tay9F

And here are some of the hilariuous comments from fans online, connecting the contest to the Vikings’ new signal-caller.
“why is this just a bunch of Kyler Murrays,” a fan said.
“I know Kyler Murray when I see him,” a social media user on X shared.
“These look like Kyler Murray more than Jalen ,” another one commented.
“Just a bunch of Kyler Murrays ,” a different fan said.
This surely is not the first time that both Murray and Brunson have been humorously likened to each other. They are not the biggest players in their respective leagues and play the equivalent position in their sports.
One difference, though, is that Brunson now has a ring, having led the Knicks to an incredible run in the 2026 NBA Playoffs that culminated in the end of New York’s 53-year NBA title drought. Brunson showed the way for the Knicks in the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs and won the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player honor.
But Murray also has a chance to pull off such a feat with the Vikings, though that is going to be easier said than done, of course.
