What do over 3,000 Minnesota Vikings fans actually think about their team heading into 2026? On this episode of The Real Forno Show, Tyler Forness blind-reacts to The Athletic’s Alec Lewis fan survey — and the results spark some of the most honest, unfiltered Vikings conversation of the offseason. From the quarterback competition to ownership confidence, producer Dave Stefano and Tyler break it all down with equal parts data, humor, and hard truths.
The survey paints a fascinating — and at times contradictory — picture of the Viking faithful. A whopping 79.9% of respondents feel the Vikings are moving in the right direction, and 97.6% gave the Nolan Teasley hire at least a three out of five. Yet 62.5% don’t believe the Vikings will win a Super Bowl in the next five years. Tyler nailed the tension: “This fan base doesn’t have hope… this fan base and this town has been crushed time and time and time again.” On J.J. McCarthy, Tyler didn’t hold back — “I don’t think J.J. McCarthy is a franchise quarterback… combined with everything else, I don’t think he’s a franchise guy.” Meanwhile, Brian Flores earned near-unanimous praise, with 98% rating him at least four out of five. Kevin O’Connell sits at 79.9% approval, ownership confidence checks in at 77.2%, and — in a telling split — 69.2% want Kyler Murray to start in 2026, while 54.4% still want McCarthy as the long-term answer.
