With Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts coming to town, the Minnesota Vikings have made a move that should allow them to perform much better against the Philadelphia Eagles’ running game than they’ve done against the run early on in this 2025 NFL season.

The team has announced that they have activated linebacker Blake Cashman from injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s contest at U.S. Bank Stadium, and he is in line to step back into his starting role in the Minnesota defense.

Cashman hasn’t played since the season opener, as he suffered a hamstring injury while attempting to chase down Bears’ quarterback Caleb Williams. The team placed him on injured reserve after that, and he has missed the four games that players on IR are mandated to miss. Minnesota opened up his practice window earlier this week, and they’ve decided that he is good to go for Sunday’s game.

The team has also activated outside linebacker Tyler Batty from injured reserve. Batty, an undrafted free agent out of BYU, was placed on injured reserve while the team was reducing its roster to 53 players during the preseason and could be in line to make his NFL debut on Sunday afternoon.

Does Blake Cashman being back for Sunday make you feel any better about the matchup with the Eagles? Let us know what you think, folks!
