The live stream of Kubiak’s press conference starts on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 2 pm ET/11 am PT.
The Seattle Seahawks have a new offensive coordinator in town with a famous last name.
Klint Kubiak is the son of Super Bowl winning head coach and former quarterback Gary Kubak. He’s been the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings and (most recently) the New Orleans Saints, as well as the passing game coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers during Brock Purdy’s best season. Kubiak is replacing Ryan Grubb, who was ousted after just one season as Seahawks play-caller. Unlike Grubb, Kubiak has play-calling experience at an NFL level and has been embedded in the league for a long time even at just 37 years old.
While there are still question marks regarding which notable Seahawks offensive players (like Geno Smith, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, and Noah Fant) will still be on the team heading into next season, we know who the OC will be regardless of who’s on the roster. Tuesday will mark Kubiak’s formal introduction to the Seahawks coaching staff. His job will be to revitalize a Seahawks offense that sputtered badly at times last season and was significantly culpable in their narrow postseason miss.
