The man at the center of the Antonio Brown attempted murder case has revealed what sparked the fight that allegedly nearly cost him his life last month.
Zül-Qarnain Nantambu, who gained infamy after waving a Palestinian flag during Kendrick Lamar’s performance at Super Bowl 59 earlier this year, is the victim in question and spoke to ‘TMZ Live’ this Friday, revealing that money was at the root of it all.
Natambu explained that Brown stole some jewelry from him while they were in Dubai for a Floyd Mayweather fight a few years back, and he got a judgment against the former NFL star after taking him to court.
He claimed to have seen Brown at Adin Ross’ boxing event in Florida on May 16 and reminded the ex-WR of the debt he owed, which resulted in AB hitting him and several of the latter’s friends jumping in to assault him.
Natambu said he got seven stitches above his eye.
Brown was later seen brandishing a pistol in a viral video, and gunshots were heard shortly after. Natambu said he believes a bullet grazed his neck.
A warrant has been issued for Brown, but police have yet to bring him in and have failed to reach him after at least one attempt.
The former wideout did not seem at all worried and posted a video of himself smiling while riding a bike despite the looming attempted second-degree murder with a firearm charge.
