Preseason records don’t matter, but hey, it’s always better to have a winning record than a losing one. The Tennessee Titans finish the preseason with a 2-1 record. That’s fun and all, but I think we are all ready to see football that actually counts. We are just over two weeks away from that happening.

  • It was good to see Van Jefferson have a big night after the drop last week. Jefferson’s night was the first of six things that stood out for Jim Wyatt. Jefferson breaks camp as the #3 option at wide receiver behind Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett. How long will he hold that spot over Elic Ayomanor?

  • New Titans kicker Joey Slye hit a 63-yard field goal last night:

  • It doesn’t count because it’s the preseason, but if it did count it would be the longest field goal in franchise history. Slye’s last kick of the night was a double doink:

  • Turron Davenport gives us his takeaways from the win:

  • Cam Ward was solid once again last night. He orchestrated a 13-play touchdown drive on his last appearance in the preseason:

  • There was too much running on that drive for my liking, but you got to see Ward’s arm talent on full display. It sure looks like the Titans finally got their guy, but now he has to prove that when the bullets are live.
