Well, I know this generally isn’t the sort of thing that we do an Open Thread for, but you know what? It’s the middle of June, it’s the long, dark tea time of the offseason, and it’s the world’s biggest sporting event.
So why the heck not?
Tonight, the United States will kick off its World Cup draw in group play against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM Central Time, and you can watch the broadcast on FOX, Telemundo (en Español), or streaming on Peacock.
This is the Group Play stage, and the United States is in Group D, along with Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the format that the World Cup uses, here’s a helpful video that will clarify everything for you.
