Tyreek Hill has spoken, and he’s not holding any grudges.
After the Indianapolis Colts pulled their NFL schedule release video due to licensing issues and a controversial clip involving Hill, the Dolphins star decided to respond in his way.
On Thursday, Hill shared a short video on X with the caption, “The only W the Colts got .” In the clip, a boy closes his laptop and walks away from a table as text flashes on the screen: “Colts social team posting their schedule release video without any approval.” The message was clear- Hill found the situation more amusing than offensive.
The Colts initially dropped a highly produced, Minecraft-style video for their 2025 schedule release. The animation, however, crossed some lines. The footage reportedly broke Microsoft’s licensing agreement. It also featured a scene mocking Hill’s 2024 arrest outside Hard Rock Stadium. Police briefly detained Hill before Miami’s opener last season. They later dismissed all traffic-related violations, and no charges followed.

Following the backlash, the Colts quickly removed the video, less than an hour after it went live on May 14, and issued a public apology. “We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek,” the team said in a statement posted on X.
But Hill wasn’t bothered. In fact, he thought the whole thing was funny. “Should’ve left it up, Colts,” Hill wrote on X, tagging the team directly. “This was funny.” His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, later confirmed Hill wasn’t upset and had told him as much after seeing the video.
Should’ve left it up @Colts , this was funny 🤷🏾♂️ https://t.co/ULVYH43lxL

Despite the Colts also reaching out to Rosenhaus privately to offer a direct apology. Hill’s lighthearted response seemed to close the book on any tension. For a social media moment that could’ve turned ugly, Hill chose humor over heat.
NFL teams continue to raise the bar with schedule release videos each year, often walking a fine line between entertainment and controversy. This time, the Colts may have stepped over it, but thanks to Hill’s cool-headed reaction, the fallout was more laughter than drama.
