Tyreek Hill’s name has come up in all sorts of trade scenarios this year following his outburst on social media after the Miami Dolphins failed in their late push for a playoff spot last season.
A recent trade proposal has him going to the San Francisco 49ers. The NFC team could certainly use some help in the wide receiver position and doesn’t look as strong going into 2025 as it has in seasons past.
They have been offered some respite in the form of their relatively mild schedule and can sneak into the playoffs if the majority of the core can be kept healthy.
Still, their wide receiver room is hardly as impressive as the ones boasted by some of their rivals, and many are of the view that they should make a trade. As such, Newsweek has drawn up a scenario in which the Miami Dolphins send him to the Niners, given his fractured relationship with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Evan Massey has listed San Francisco among possible trade destinations, including Hill’s former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers have also been named.
“Hill could be playing his final season with Miami. In fact, he could become a potential trade deadline target if the Dolphins don’t look like a contender early on in the year. Potential Trade Destinations: 49ers, Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Packers,” Massey writes.
Should Hill become available, he will garner plenty of interest around the league, including from the 49ers. But they’d probably not be among the teams diving headfirst into a trade, given that they would have much to consider.
Tyreek Hill comes with baggage. There’s always the possibility of off-field drama, some of which is still going on in Miami as he’s been called out by Tagovailoa, who did not appreciate the wideout’s behavior at the end of the season.
