There’s been plenty of evidence that suggests Tyreek Hill is less than thrilled with the current state of affairs in Miami after wrapping up his third season with the Dolphins. Now, we have a fresh batch of drama on our hands after the wide receiver rattled off his list of the five guys he thinks are currently the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
As was the case with every team in the AFC East not called the Patriots, the Dolphins spent the bulk of the first couple of decades of the new millennium wallowing in mediocrity while eagerly awaiting the day they’d be able to take advantage of the end of the Patriots dynasty.
The Bills have emerged as the successor to that particular throne, but Miami has certainly been trending in the right direction since Mike McDaniel took over in 2022 with the help of a formidable offense that’s revolved around Tua Tagovailoa and a speedy wide receiver corps led by Tyreek Hill.
Hill picked up where he left off in Kansas City after joining the Dolphins ahead of McDaniel’s inaugural campaign and was a major reason Miami punched its ticket to the playoffs two years in a row in the wake of a 14-season span where it made the postseason the same number of times.
In 2023, Hill led the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns with 1,799 and 13 in those respective categories, but he saw his production fall off a cliff last season while finishing with just 959 yards in the air and six TDs.
Hill was not shy about voicing his frustrations during a season where he seemingly quit in the middle of the final game, and while he’s committed to suiting up for the Dolphins next season, it does seem like there’s still some lingering tension.
The wide receiver didn’t do much to quell that belief when he recently decided to hop on Snapchat and respond to a fan who asked him to name the guys he considers the best QBs in the league—a list that does not include Tagovailoa.
Tyreek Hill names his top 5 QBs in the NFL (in no order):

Anyone who’s familiar with Hill shouldn’t be too shocked he committed an unforced error by naming a quintet that consists of Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow, which is admittedly pretty solid answer to that question.
With that said, Hill A) Turned down the opportunity to name 10 players in order to ensure Tua was included B) Decided to answer a question he could have simply ignored and C) Declined to lie and put his teammate in place of one of the other guys he named (Mayfield being the most obvious candidate).
At the end of the day, it’s probably not worth reading too deeply into...
