The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t gotten what they imagined they would earn from Tyree Wilson when he was selected 7th overall back in 2023.

As a rookie he logged just 29 tackles, 2 TFL, 3.5 sacks, and 24 pressures along with 16 stops. In 2024 he saw his snap counts rise to 524 from 493 and posted 37 pressures, 4.5 sacks, 27 tackles, 6 TFL, and 9 QB hits. Wilson started off slow in 2025 though he started to cap the season off with a stretch of strong performances and finished the year on a high note with 2 sacks, 2 FF, 6 stops, 8 pressures, 3 QB hits, and 2 TFL vs the Chiefs, albeit with a backup offensive tackle but Wilson ended the year on a high note along with a career best game in terms of pressures, and win rate at 31.2%. Going into 2026, Wilson will need to build off this performance and try to make an impact in the off-season and training camp to earn a spot.

Wilson’s fifth year option is up for consideration this off-season and at 13.2 million it likely won’t be picked up after only 12 sacks, 25 QB hits, 17 TFL, and 4 FF in 50 games. Additionally, Tyree Wilson could be competing for a spot in 2026 with possibly a brand new coaching staff and very little attached money onto his contract. Wilson has nabbed 1200 snaps in his career and likely will make a career as a 4th or 5th rotational pass rusher which is very disappointing for the former 7th overall pick.
