The Titans continue to work on filling out the front office
Buck Reising wrote an article over at A to Z Sports last night highlighting two names that have surfaced as the potential assistant general manager for the Tennessee Titans. Of course, everyone is already making the assistant to the assistant to the general manager joke with Chad Brinker having the final say on the roster. It’s a funnyish joke, but I will remind you again that after we were told the Titans wouldn’t be able to get a good candidate for general manager, they hired Mike Borgonzi who was one of the hottest candidates on the market.
The first name, Dave Ziegler, surfaced last week when Albert Breer mentioned his name right after Borgonzi was hired. Ziegler has been in the league with various teams since 2010. He was with the New England Patriots from 2013 to 2021 in various roles. From there he was hired as the general manager for the Las Vegas Raiders. He only lasted two seasons with the Raiders. He has spent last year with the New Orleans Saints. Of note, he and Brian Callahan were both with the Denver Broncos for three seasons.
The second name is Jim Nagy who is currently the Executive Director of the Senior Bowl. Zach Lyons pointed out that Nagy has strong ties to both Brinker and Borgonzi:
