The Bengals’ disastrous season continued with a terrible defensive performance against the Steelers.
The Cincinnati Bengals season has been a nightmare from start to finish so far, and that was no different against the Steelers, with the defense continually folding like paper.
With nine of their last 10 top-100 picks being defense, along with signing multiple big-name expensive free agents, the Bengals’ defense has been embarrassingly awful this season.
The Bengals rarely move on from their coordinators, but the writing has to be on the wall for Lou Anarumo, who has fielded one of the worst defenses in the league despite all the resources invested in it. The Bengals will have to take a long, hard look at their players and system to try to bounce back and give Joe Burrow a chance in 2025.
With that said, let’s take a look at how Twitter reacted to the disastrous game.
The Bengals' season is effectively over. The true test comes now when the Bengals have to show that they realize there is a problem and take steps to fix it. With one good offseason, the Bengals could be right back in contention with Joe Burrow, but drastic changes are needed, which ideally should start now.
At this point, we can only hope.
