Two key members of the Tennessee Titans will miss the game on Sunday. JC Latham had already told the media yesterday that he would not play on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Today, Brian Callahan said that T’Vondre Sweat will also miss the game. That is two big bodies that will be missing from the trenches in this week two matchup.
Callahan did not commit to who the starting right tackle will be on Sunday. Last week, it was Olisawmeka Udoh who came in for Latham. He was basically a traffic cone. It makes sense that the Callahans would weigh all of their options this week.
Of course, the problem is that none of the options are good. They could go with Blake Hance or Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson. They could also call up John Ojukwu from the practice squad and let him take the start. That seems pretty far fetched though because if they thought that highly of Ojukwu they would have kept him on the 53-man roster.
The bottom line is that Callahan will once again have to scheme an offense that has a major hole on the offensive line. Prayers up for Cam Ward.
