The Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 1 contest against the New York Jets on Sunday will be available in most of the country as part of the regional 1 p.m. broadcast on CBS.
As expected, all of Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey will get the game. The Steelers-Jets game will also be aired in Youngstown and Steubenville, Ohio and Wheeling, Morgantown and Beckley, West Virginia.
According to coverage maps posted by 506 Sports on Wednesday, most of the Northeast will get the Steelers-Jets game, except the New England area. Stations in Charlotte, Atlanta, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, Green Bay, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles will also get the game.
Ian Eagle (play-by-play), J.J. Watt (color) and Evan Washburn (sideline). will call the Steelers-Jets game for CBS. It will mark J.J. Watt’s first game as a color analyst for the network. His first time in the booth was last year when Netflix had the Steelers-Chiefs game on Christmas Day.
At DraftKings Sportsbook, the Steelers are currently 3-point favorites over the Jets. The over/under is 38.5 points. The Steelers are -155 on the money line, compared to +130 for the Jets. The over/under total for the game is 38.5.
In the late afternoon time slots on Sunday, the Pittsburgh market will get the Lions-Packers game on CBS and the Seahawks -49ers game on FOX.
There are four national broadcasts in Week 1. The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will kick off the season on Thursday night with a meeting against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. That game will be broadcast on NBC. On Friday night, the Kansas City will play the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Rich Eisen and Kurt Warner will have the call for YouTube TV.
Sunday Night Football on NBC and WPXI-TV will feature the Baltimore Ravens against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.
The Monday Night Football game will be the Minnesota Vikings against the Chicago Bears at Solider Field (ESPN/ABC).
