Tuesday Cheese Curds: Packers still have a chance

The Packers are down, but not out.

Yes, the road ahead got a lot harder this week, but there’s still some reason for hope as the Packers come down the home stretch.

For better or for worse, they largely control their own destiny. As long as they keep winning, they’ll more than likely end up in the playoffs. What they do in the playoffs is a lot harder to sort out with Micah Parsons sidelined for the remainder of the year (and possibly some of 2026, too), but they can get there.

And even without Parsons, that should be the goal. Anything can happen once you get in the dance. Who knows what injuries or unforeseen developments your opponent might be dealing with that could skew a game your way? Who knows what kind of hot streak Jordan Love or Josh Jacobs or Jayden Reed could go on that could power the Packers deep into the playoffs?

The point is, once you’ve made the postseason, you’ve got a chance. All it takes is a couple of little breaks your way and you’re right back in business as a Super Bowl contender.

That may be some high-grade copium, but it’s also the truth.

Brian Hoyer is not the superstar (or the tremendous athlete) that Micah Parsons is, but his perspective here is interesting: mental recovery is as big of a part of the ACL rehab process as physical recovery.
