The Packers must growth from within to take strides next season.
Now that the rest of the NFC North has joined the Packers in the offseason, everyone’s focus can turn to 2025. For the Packers, most of their growth for 2025 is going to have to come from within.
The Packers have cap space to burn and, as always, a host of draft picks on the way. But the real strides will have to come from the coaches and players already in the building taking a step forward. They’ll need better performances from key players — mostly their highest paid players — to get to the top of the NFC North and claim a spot among the NFC’s contenders.
It’s easier said than done. “Just get better” is trite advice more than a real strategy. But it’s essentially what the Packers need to do. They need better performances from their coaches. Better performances from their very best players. Better performances from the people on whom they’re counting the most.
It’s simple, but not easy, but that’s life in the NFL. If it were a sure thing, everybody would be doing it.
