Tuesday Cheese Curds: Christian Watson’s return seems imminent

Christian Watson is back, baby.

Well, I mean, he’s close to being back. He’s practicing for being back. When he’s back is actually a matter of some discussion, and it’s not exactly clear what “back” is going to mean when he’s actually back for real, whenever that happens.

Injuries are fun, obviously.

But Watson being back (pun very much intended) on the road to participating in the Packers’ offense is a big step, and when he’s on the field for real, he’ll be a valuable asset to have on the field. Whatever issues he has with consistency, it’s better to have a 6-foot-5 receiver with blazing speed on the field than otherwise.

How he integrates with the rest of the offense and whether or not he has any sort of real transformative effect is, of course, an open question, but it’ll be interesting to watch this process unfold.
