Great news!
We’ve finally got some good news on one of the Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive ends who’s in a holdout.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Ben Baby, the Bengals have resumed contract talks with Trey Hendrickson.
“The two sides have resumed communication on his contract and future with the team, sources told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler on Sunday. Hendrickson, who is coming off an All-Pro season and was the NFL’s sack leader with 17.5 in 2024, says he remains steadfast in his desire for a long-term contract extension,” wrote Baby.
This is the first bit of positive news we’ve heard on the Hendrickson front in months, so hopefully, it means both sides can hammer out a deal in the coming weeks. With OTAs concluding, we’ve got a little over a month until training camps open. Something has to get worked out by then, or else it’s highly unlikely we’ll see Hendrickson participate in camp.
Time to get this across the finish line.
