Trevor Lawrence and Liam Coen have tense interaction during Jaguars’ loss to Bengals
Cincy Jungle Cincy Jungle

The Cincinnati Bengals squeaked out another close one, this time at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’re 2-0 for the first time since the 2018 season, but it’s not all sunshine and rainbows in Cincinnati, either. Joe Burrow could be lost for the foreseeable future with a toe injury on his left foot, thanks in part to the team’s inability to protect their quarterback every single year. Jake Browning came in and, despite a couple of interceptions, got the offense to work when it mattered most.

The narrative in Jacksonville may be more along the lines of “we lost” than “the Bengals beat us,” though. This is partially because of some missed opportunities, dropped passes, and head-scratching decisions made by rookie head coach Liam Coen, including going for it on fourth-and-goal from the 5-yard line instead of taking the three points.

Coen is only into Week 2 of his head coaching career, but there could be trouble brewing between him and former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence already, based on this tense moment picked up by the broadcast crew on Sunday afternoon:

Whether or not this is anything worth focusing on is unknown, but it’s not a good look.

Still, I’d rather be worried about a tense moment between Burrow and Zac Taylor than worrying about when Burrow will be able to get back on the field.
