Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs is breaking his silence.

Diggs won’t be on the field for the Cowboys in Week 18. According to multiple reports, the Cowboys waived Diggs on Tuesday. It was an overall tough day for the Diggs’ family.

The cornerback is now breaking his silence over what happened behind the scenes. Trevon got cut by the Cowboys, and Stefon is facing serious criminal charges, including felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery.

Trevon Diggs spoke to NFL insider Jane Slater and revealed he stayed back with family for Christmas. He also attended a concert. Diggs also claimed he never lied about what he was doing or where he was. He sent plenty of timestamps and Instagram Lives to prove it, according to Slater.

Trevon Diggs tells me he did stay back with family for Christmas and did attend the concert.

Both can be true.

He says he never lied about what he was doing or where he was and sent me plenty of time stamps and IG lives. See below.

Trevon Diggs Could Come Out On Top Following His Release

Cornerback Trevon Diggs can end up in the playoffs this year. After Dallas waived the embattled defender, several playoff contenders could make a move.

Diggs is now subject to waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent. Given that Diggs still has a term left on his five-year, $97 million extension, he is likely to clear waivers and enter free agency.

If a team were to claim him, it would be responsible for his remaining $472,222 game check this season, per NFL Media. They would also inherit his contract, which is one of the indicators that he will go unclaimed.

Diggs had no guaranteed money remaining on his contract after the end of this season. It made him a potential cut candidate for the Cowboys this coming offseason. He was already tending towards that before they cut him.

The 27-year-old played the first six games of the regular season before landing on injured reserve due to a concussion. Diggs had also been nursing a knee injury.

New scenery could help revive his career.
