Nick Bosa, Dre Greenlaw, and Robert Beal are all officially questionable.
The San Francisco 49ers officially ruled out left tackle Trent Williams for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Williams has not played since Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Jaylon Moore will continue to start at left tackle. Moore had a rough game against the Los Angeles Rams in pass protection, but he’s grown a lot as a run blocker and has only allowed one sack on the season.
Running back Isaac Guerendo was also ruled out. Patrick Taylor will “most likely” be the starter, according to Kyle Shanahan, who was confident that the 49ers can run their usual offense with Taylor in the backfield:
“He’s been here since training camp. He’s done a real good job for us. Played in this league before. Has experience there at Green Bay. When he’s gotten those opportunities with us, he’s ran the ball well. And when he hasn’t run the ball, he’s really helped us on special teams. So, big opportunity for him. Glad we got him.”
Edge rushers Nick Bosa and Robert Beal are questionable. Beal is a new addition to the injury report. Shanahan said Beal “hurt his ankle out there today.” Beal only played five snaps in Week 15.
Linebacker Dre Greenlaw remains on the injury report one game after returning from an Achilles injury. Shanahan said, “He’s had a week. He’s done a good job.” The plan was for Greenlaw to play around 50 percent of the snaps last week. We’ll see how that changes in Greenlaw’s second week back with three extra days of rest.
