Travis Kelce not only lost the Super Bowl, he also reportedly “felt helpless” on the field when his girlfriend Taylor Swift was booed Sunday night during the big game in New Orleans. It supposedly “broke his heart” to see her treated in that fashion by the fans in attendance.
Whether any of that is actually true, the Daily Mail claims that it is, citing a “source close to Kelce.”
“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” the source claimed.
“He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.
“It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts, being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him. Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.
“After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them. But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.”
President Trump, who predicted the Kansas City Chiefs would win the Super Bowl, shared videos on social media Sunday night comparing his cheers with the boos Taylor Swift received. He also wrote in another post, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
According to a lip reader, as she was being booed by the Super Bowl crowd, Swift said to her friend Ice Spice, “Aw, what? What’s going on?”

A handful of celebrities, on the other hand, had Taylor Swift’s back on social media, including surprise halftime show star Serena Williams, who wrote on social media, “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”
After the game, a very despondent-looking Travis Kelce joined Taylor Swift in her Super Bowl suite that at various points in the night had guests in it like Machine Gun Kelly, and the Haim sisters. Blake Lively, on the other hand, was not in Swift’s suite this year.
After the game, Travis Kelce told the media, “There’s a lot that goes into it. You don’t lose like that without everything going bad. We haven’t played that bad all year. Just couldn’t find that spark, couldn’t find that momentum.”
