Everybody saw this news coming from Travis Kelce for quite some time.

The NFL superstar has been enjoying his off-season with pop sensation girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Also, he and his brother Jason Kelce have been doing regular weekly shows on their New Heights podcast.

Jason Kelce walked away from the NFL after 13 grueling seasons in the trenches as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. His younger brother, Travis, isn’t done playing for the Kansas City Chiefs just yet.

The New Heights show, co-hosted by the two NFL stars, will officially be put on pause starting July 23. That is done because Travis Kelce is heading to training camp.

Jason announced on Wednesday that the podcast is pressing pause, with no return date set in stone. “We have come to the end of the road,” Jason said on the latest episode.

“Travis is going to training camp, as you all know. Whenever training camp starts, we take a hiatus from the pod because it’s nearly impossible to do a podcast while somebody’s in training camp.”

Travis Kelce then cheered when Jason mentioned training camp, which runs from July 22 to August 13, and Jason confirmed that the podcast has a few pre-taped episodes left to air.

Travis Kelce Makes Decision On Retirement

Travis Kelce is coming off his statistically worst season concerning yardage (823), snapped a 7-year 100+ receiving yards streak in 2023 (984), and will turn 36 in October.

Many thought he would hang up his cleats after the blowout loss to the Eagles in February. He informed the Chiefs he was coming back.

It will now lead to questions as to whether he will retire after the 2025 NFL season.

The Chiefs’ tight end indicated to reporters last month that a possible retirement wasn’t strongly considered this past spring.

“I love football. I don’t think I really thought about it that much,” Kelce told reporters.

“I love coming into work every single day. It wasn’t a very tough one for me. I know I’m getting older, but at the same time, I still feel like I’ve got a lot I can prove in this league. With that being said, it really wasn’t that hard of a decision for me.”
