Travis Hunter’s first purchase after locking in a massive $46.5 million rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars has been revealed.
The Jaguars selected Hunter as the No. 2 overall pick last month following a trade with the Cleveland Browns that saw them move up the board.
The former Colorado standout will undoubtedly be one of the most intriguing rookies in 2025 after starring on both sides of the ball in college. He’s also set to make millions of dollars over the course of his career.
Hunter’s rookie deal will see him earn the sum mentioned above over the next four years. And he’s likely already spent some of that money, although he’s no stranger to wealth, given his NIL earnings.
According to Jaguars reporter Mia O’Brien, Hunter disclosed that the first thing he bought after being drafted was a pair of Jaguars pajama pants off Amazon. He wore them under his graduation gown at Colorado last week.

If nothing else, this shows commitment.
Apart from his NFL salary, Hunter can expect to make a lot more money from endorsement deals.
The hybrid star already has several partnerships, including one with sportswear brand Adidas, which should pay him over $3 million.
It will be interesting to see whether the Jags allow Hunter to play both offense and defense during the upcoming season, as they’ve claimed. There are doubts over whether such a move would be sustainable, but we’re here for it.
