The Notre Dame Fighting Irish met with highly-touted quarterback Brady Quinn on Monday as the 16-year-old ponders his (many) college options.
On his X/Twitter account, Quinn revealed that he had a visit with Notre Dame Fighting Irish football head coach Marcus Freeman. And by the way, he has no relation to former NFL quarterback and 2007 first-round pick Brady Quinn, who just so happened to play college ball at Notre Dame.

Quinn previously played high school football at the First Baptist Academy in Naples, Florida but announced in May that he was transferring to nearby Lely High School. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound signal-caller has gotten offers from Kentucky, Maryland, Louisville, Missouri and Nebraska, according to 247 Sports.
Brady Quinn also revealed on X/Twitter last week that the South Carolina Gamecocks gave him an offer. He posted on May 31 that he was meeting with the Tennessee Volunteers, but it’s unclear if Quinn got an offer from the program.
The Fighting Irish reached the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last year with quarterback Riley Leonard, who was drafted in the sixth round at No. 189 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
C.J. Carr and Kenny Minchey are now fighting for the starting quarterback job in 2025. Notre Dame opens the 2025 season against the Miami Hurricanes as they look to bounce back from last year’s heartbreaking loss to Ohio State in the championship game.
Quinn was widely expected to be an early selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, but he unexpectedly fell to the Cleveland Browns at No. 22 overall. Unfortunately, the Maxwell and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner never found success in the pros.
He went 4-16 as a starting quarterback with 12 touchdowns against 17 interceptions, never making more than 10 starts in a single season.
