The ratings for EA Sports’ Madden NFL 26 have recently dropped, and All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt is once again the team’s highest-rated player with a rating of 96. All-Pro defensive tackle Cam Heyward and star cornerback Jalen Ramsey follow with a rating of 94. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith is next in line with an 88 overall rating.

Watt is actually one point lower than his rating from Madden NFL 25. Meanwhile, Watt’s arch rival Myles Garrett once again has a 99 overall rating.

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf is the highest-rated offensive player (85) on the team, while four-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not even in the 80s. Rodgers is also outside of the top 15 among highest-rated Steelers players.

Chris Boswell has the second-best rating with a grade of 85, behind just the Dallas Cowboys’ Brandon Aubrey (87).

Center Zach Frazier (84), tight end Pat Freiermuth (84), cornerback Darius Slay (84) and strong safety DeShon Elliott (82) round out the top 10 highest-rated Steelers players in Madden NFL 26.

The Steelers defense was ranked as the best in the game with a rating of 91.

For the team rating category, the Steelers cracked the top 10 at No. 9 with an 86 overall rating. The Baltimore Ravens are the top ranked team with a 93 overall rating, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles (91), Kansas City (90) Chiefs, Buffalo Bills (89), Minnesota Vikings (88) and Detroit Lions (88).

Ramsey has made his presence known at training camp, making plays left and right. He’s also lining up all over the defense. He brings a skill set to the Steelers defense that they’ve not had in years.

“He’s a Swiss Army knife of our defense right now, you’re going to see him playing every position,” Watt said. “Anytime those guys lock down for an extra half a second, we love it cuz it allows us to get to the quarterback.”

“With Jalen, it’s not just what he does when the play is snapped, it’s what he’s doing before the play. His disguise, his level of professionalism is just on display for everybody,” Heyward added. “That first pick Aaron threw to Patrick Queen, that was because of Jalen. I’m excited to see what he’s going to do this year.”

With Ramsey, Darius Slay, Joey Porter Jr. and Beanie Bishop at cornerback and DeShon Elliott, Juan Thornhill and Chuck Clark at safety, the Steelers could have their best secondary since 2019. On paper, the Steelers defense should create havoc this season.
