Tom Brady called his first-ever Super Bowl as a member of the Fox broadcast team in New Orleans. The quarterback made 10 appearances in the NFL championship as a player, and won seven, but Sunday night marked his debut as a color commentator.

He wore a watch in the booth that cost almost as much as the Kansas City Chiefs’ least expensive player.

Brady made more than $530 million during his lengthy, highly-successful NFL career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That does not include all of his endorsement deals or any of the money he has made post-retirement. Fox also signed him to a contract that will pay a whopping $375 million contract over the next 10 years.

All of this goes to say that money is not an object for the greatest quarterback of all-time. Obviously.

Brady arrived to the Superdome with an extremely expensive watch on his wrist. The shiny gold shimmer slipped out from underneath his jacket as he joined Kevin Burkhardt in the booth. It was hard to miss.

Here is a closer look from down on the field:

Jacob & Co. is a private jeweler and wristwatch retailer based out of Manhattan. The company was founded in 1986 by diamond designer Jacob Arabo. Clients include Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Madonna, David Beckham, Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter, among countless others. You get the idea.

Tom Brady’s watch is luxurious!

The Super Bowl watch is a Jacob & Co. original called the ’18K Rose Gold Caviar Tourbillon Factory Set.’ The jeweler’s website offers an incredible seven-step breakdown of the watch and all of its features, like gem-setting, dial and hands, and strap and clasp. Here is how it is described:

Open a large tin of caviar. The glistening grains are packed tight together. So tight they’re not round anymore, but closer to a square. The flat surface is perfectly smooth, saturated with black gems. This universal symbol of luxury is the effect Jacob & Co. recreated with the Caviar Tourbillon. Caviar Tourbillon is a showcase of the high jewelry expertise of Jacob & Co., applied to a high watchmaking timepiece.

Caviar Tourbillon is entirely covered in gems. They’re not round, as brilliant-cut gems can’t entirely fill any space. Jacob & Co. exclusively selected the baguette cut. In order to recreate the smooth surface of caviar, Jacob & Co. only works with the invisible setting technique. No prongs, no metal appears that would break the continuous array of gems.

The 47-mm case is covered in 224 baguette-cut gems. The crown contains 16 more and a large rose-cut gem. The large dial is made of a series of concentric rows of 130 baguette-cut gems.

Although Jacob & Co. does not list an exact price for the watch Tom Brady wore at the Super Bowl, it costs approximately $740,000. Additional modifications could increase that number.
