Rob Gronkowski must be Tom Brady’s all-time favorite teammate to throw to, as they connected on countless plays during their time together in New England and Tampa Bay.
But their last play resulted in disaster.
The future Pro Football Hall of Famers were at Fanatics Fest 2025 in New York City this week and decided it would be a great idea for TB12 to throw the Lombardi Trophy to Gronk.
While they succeeded with the completion, it appears Rob’s grip was too sturdy as the trophy split in half once he caught it.
“You broke it!” Brady yelled as he approached Gronk to look at the result of their failed pass.
“I didn’t break it! You threw it way too hard!” Gronk replied.
They joked with each other a bit before Tom told Rob he’s “definitely a washed-up bum.”

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were joined by some of the biggest names in sports, with Dwyane Wade, Michael Strahan, Russell Wilson, and Eli Manning, among several notable names, to attend the event.
On the entertainment side, Kevin Costner, Ice Cube, Emma Roberts, streamer Adin Ross, and DJ Khaled also attended.
Brady won seven Super Bowls, so the Lombardi probably does not mean as much to him as it does to everyone else. It’s why he’s constantly throwing it somewhere.
Of course, Gronk is always involved.
