Fox Sports announced on Friday that former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will take on a new role as an NFL analyst. This news prompted Tom Brady, who also works as an analyst at Fox, to have a little fun at Brees’ expense.

“And just like that, I become the third most accurate QB at Fox Sports (Terry Bradshaw still has both of us beat ),” Brady wrote Friday on X.

Brees boasts the highest career completion percentage among quarterbacks who have attempted at least 5,000 passes, with an impressive rate of 67.7%.

Brees will join play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and sideline reporter Kristina Pink as they call games together. This change follows the company’s decision to part ways with former analyst Mark Sanchez on Friday.

This isn’t Brees’ first stint as an analyst; he joined the NBC team in 2021 as a commentator for Notre Dame games and even called an NFL playoff game, but left the network after the season.

Brees will have to wait a week to make his Fox broadcasting debut because the company did not schedule him for a game in Week 10.
