The Philadelphia Eagles might have the best general manager in the business.

No one has done better at finding elite talent and making the most of players who looked like misfits somewhere else.

Howie Roseman did it again this offseason when he got Zack Baun.

Baun was an absolute beast right out of the gate, capping off the season as one of the candidates for Defensive Player of the Year.

That’s why NFL legend Tom Brady gave him his own version of that distinction (via FOX Sports: NFL).

The legendary quarterback stated that he loved an underdog story, commending Baun for his journey from being a special teams player with the New Orleans Saints to becoming a major force for the Eagles.

He believes he’s one of the primary reasons why they will be playing for the Vince Lombardi trophy on Sunday, and it’s hard to disagree with that logic.

Baun is one of the league leaders in forced fumbles (5) and solo tackles (93) this season.

He came out of the left field to go from being an afterthought to an absolute force, especially against the run.

Of course, he’s going to have his work cut out for him on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs no longer possess the explosive offense they demonstrated during the Eric Bieniemy era, but they still have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, a solid running game, and a passing game that has improved in the season’s final stretch.
