Tom Brady is reportedly looking to bring two of his old friends to the Las Vegas Raiders’ coaching staff in 2026.

The Raiders (2-14) will clinch the NFL’s No. 1 pick in 2026 with a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s hard to imagine Pete Carroll getting a second season in Sin City. One report indicates the Raiders will target Jesse Minter, the Los Angeles Chargers’ defensive coordinator.

Having completed his first full season as a Raiders minority owner, Tom Brady is expected to play a significant role in the team’s key offseason decisions. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, that may include going big-game hunting for coaches.

Florio claims there is speculation about Tom Brady going after Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and former New York Giants offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. Both spent considerable time with Brady in New England:

“There’s a rumor currently making the rounds that, once Brady rolls up his sleeves (while also wearing one glove and an expensive-a*s watch), he’ll make the case for bringing in Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

As the chatter goes, Flores would be the head coach, and former Giants coach Brian Daboll would be the offensive coordinator. Like Flores, Daboll has extensive experience with the Patriot Way. Daboll was there for the first three Super Bowl wins of the Brady/Belichick era, and for two of the second trio of championships.

Brady and Flores are believed to have a good relationship. Flores was among those in Miami who wanted to bring Brady to town after his time in Tampa.”

Of course, Flores will likely garner plenty of interest from multiple teams. The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly expected to target Flores as their defensive coordinator.

Tom Brady Won’t Play Around This Offseason

The Raiders made several win-now moves last year, starting with the hiring of Pete Carroll. They traded for two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith. A month later, they used the No. 6 pick on prized running back prospect Ashton Jeanty.

Las Vegas certainly didn’t expect to be in the NFL basement this season. As a former quarterback who experienced nothing but winning in his career, you can bet Brady will go all-in to fix this roster as quickly as possible.
