Behind the Steel Curtain
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been without T.J. Watt for the last three games due to a lung injury that required him to have emergency surgery. The former Defensive Player of the Year returned to practice last week, but the Steelers played it safe in Week 17 and didn’t suit him up in the loss to the Cleveland Browns. However, Watt has made it clear that he will play in the season finale against the Baltimore Ravens.
“I feel really good,” Watt said via Brooke Pryor. “Not sure that I could’ve said that a week ago. … I’m excited to play.”
With a win, the Steelers clinch the AFC North and will host a playoff game at full capacity inside Acrisure Stadium for the first time since the 2017 season. In 17 games against the Ravens, Watt has 17 sacks. The Steelers are 12-5 in those games.
