Cam Ward has had the toughest schedule of defenses for any number one overall pick in recent history. It doesn’t get any easier today, facing a Seattle Seahawks’ defense that ranks in the top 10 in total yards allowed, rushing yards allowed, and points per game allowed. The Tennessee Titans are also missing two of their best receivers with Calvin Ridley out for the year, and Elic Ayomanor missing this game with a hamstring injury. Good luck, rook.
The Titans also face a tough test to try to stop Jaxson Smith-Njigba. JSN leads the NFL by more than 200 yards with 1,146 yards receiving. That’s a tough assignment for a cornerback group that is without the three corners that started for them at the beginning of the year. They’d better find a way to get pressure on Sam Darnold in this one.
It’s easy to see why the Titans are almost a two-touchdown underdog here.
