I’d love to write something positive here, but I can’t come up with anything. The Tennessee Titans are a 14.5-point underdog on the road against the Indianapolis Colts. 14.5 is a massive spread in the NFL. It’s hard to see the Titans covering, even with the number being that big.
If they are going to cover, it’s going to take an unbelievable effort from the defense that will be playing without Jeffery Simmons. Jonathan Taylor ran for 102 yards and three touchdowns in the first meeting. Simmons played in that one. This feels like a pick you number type of game for Simmons.
The only reason to still watch this team is Cam Ward. His development, which has stalled lately, is quite literally the only thing left that matters for the Titans this season. Can he take a step forward today? He will have to do it again without his only real playmaking threat, Calvin Ridley.
