The Tennessee Titans kick off their 2025 preseason tonight on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All eyes will be on first overall pick Cam Ward for the Titans. Brian Callahan has said that all of the starters will play. Ward probably gets a couple of series here in the opener.
Melo wrote about his five players to watch in this game. Ward is obviously at the top. He also has the rookie receivers on the list. They showed up on day one of the joint practices between the Titans and Buccaneers. If you have been a Titans fan for any length of time, you know that there is always a receiver or two to get excited about in the preseason. The problem is, more often than not, they end up flaming out when the real games start. Will this group be different?
There has been so little talk about the offensive line so far this preseason. That’s probably a good thing. It means they are just doing their job. Hopefully, that continues tonight.
Lastly, there also hasn’t been much talk about the defense. The pass rush and corner questions are going to remain until the regular season. Here’s to hoping we see something from Femi Oladejo.
