Adam Schefter reported earlier tonight that Shy Tuttle intends to sign with the Tennessee Titans.
Tuttle spent the first four years of his career with the New Orleans Saints. He has been with the Carolina Panthers for the last two years.
Defensive line is actually one of the positions where the Titans have some quality depth. Tuttle hasn’t graded out very well at Pro Football Focus the last couple of years, but Mike Borgonzi has obviously seen something on tape that has him intrigued.
The Titans hold the top waiver spot, so they can claim any player who was released today who is subject to waivers. I expect them to make quite a few claims. That will obviously force them to release some of the players they kept on their initial 53-man roster today.
Tuttle played his college ball at the University of Tennessee. It is good to see the Titans finally extending an olive branch to Vols’ fans! IYKYK
