Hopefully, Hance isn’t the starting plan
Aaron Wilson is reporting that the Tennessee Titans are signing interior offensive lineman Blake Hance to a 1-year deal worth $1.327 million. Hance has bounced around the league a little bit playing for the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, and Jacksonville Jaguars in his 5 years in the league. He has ties to Titans offensive line coach Bill Callahan from their time together with the Browns.
Hance should not be the plan to start at right guard. Anytime a guy has been on 3 teams in 5 years it does not point to him being a good player. He does, however, give them some much needed depth on the interior of the line.
Melo wrote this morning about some guys that the Titans could still target in free agency including Mekhi Becton, Kevin Zeitler, Teven Jenkins, and Brandon Scherff. All of those guys are better than Hance. The Titans will hopefully add one of those guys as well.
