The Tennessee Titans announced today that they have signed safety Amani Hooker to a three-year, $48.6 million contract extension:

Hooker has been a really good player for the Titans. Last year, he led the team with 5 interceptions. The only thing that has held him back has been injuries. He played in 16 games in his first two seasons, but has not played a full season since.

Hooker was a fourth-round pick by the Titans back in 2019. He has played in 80 games over his six years with the team and has 12 interceptions.

The Titans have a really solid safety room right now with Hooker, Quandre Diggs, and rookie Kevin Winston as the headliners. Winston is doubtful for tomorrow’s game with a hamstring injury. He is also recovering from a torn ACL from last year when he was still at Penn State. The Titans are really high on Winston, and extending Hooker gives them the opportunity to be really good at safety for a long time.
