Could the Titans be losing a member of their offensive staff?

Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Chicago Bears interviewed Tennessee Titans quarterback coach Bo Hardegree to be their offensive coordinator. The Bears hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to be their head coach this week. Hardegree worked with Johnson with the Miami Dolphins from 2016-2018.

Brian Callahan hired Hardgree to be the quarterback coach last offseason. Before Hardegree was with the Titans, he was with Las Vegas Raiders where he took over as the offensive coordinator for the second half of the season after Josh McDaniels was fired.

The Rapoport tweet mentions his experience developing quarterbacks. The same thing was said about Callahan before he came here. Neither one of them did much to develop Will Levis with the Titans last season. That obviously isn’t all on them, but it does seem that sometimes the reputation of “developing quarterbacks” is a little overblown. There has to be some talent there in the first place.

It would be nice if the Titans could keep some continuity on the offensive staff heading into next season, but it is not that big of a deal considering they will have a new quarterback in 2025.
