How will the Titans approach free agency?

NFL free agency kicks off on March 10th when the negotiation period opens. Yesterday it was announced that the NFL salary cap for 2025 will be somewhere between $277 and $281.5 million. That gives the Tennessee Titans about $50 million in cap space before they make any moves.

When Chad Brinker and Mike Borgonzi talked about roster construction earlier this offseason, they emphasized that they want to be a “draft and develop” team, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be looking to make a splash or two in free agency at the right spot. They just won’t be making as many big moves as they did last season. My guess is that they will look to target some offensive linemen in free agency - Trey Smith from the Kansas City Chiefs would make a lot of sense.

The Titans don’t need to make any moves for cap savings, but it is not out of the question that they could at least ask Harold Landry to take a pay cut this offseason. His cap number is north of $24 million for 2025. They have zero depth at EDGE, so it would be a surprise if they outright cut him, but he did not play like a $24 million dollar player last season.

This would also be a good time for them to go ahead and lock up guys that they want to pay in the future, but unfortunately, they don’t really have any of those right now.

What moves would you like to see them make in free agency?
