The Titans have placed offensive tackle JC Latham and safety Amani Hooker on the active/physically unable to perform list, per team writer Jim Wyatt.
Both players are dealing with short-term injuries and are expected to be back soon, according to Titans insider Paul Kuharsky.
Latham, 23, is headed into his third NFL season and second as the Titans’ starting right tackle. Originally the No. 7 overall pick in 2024, Latham started every game on the blind side as a rookie, but struggled due in part to his college experience on the right side. But last offseason, Tennessee signed former Steelers left tackle Dan Moore, which enabled Latham to move back to his natural position. The result was noticeable second-year growth, though he missed four games due to a hip injury.
The Titans are relatively thin at tackle behind Moore and Latham. Offseason signing Austin Deculus, who started five games at left tackle for the Chargers in 2025, could step into Latham’s first-team spot, as could second-year UDFA Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson. Tennessee also added some depth by signing former Rams, Patriots, and Texans offensive tackle Zachary Thomas; Ryan Hayes was waived in a corresponding move.
Hooker, 28, is entering his sixth season as the Titans’ starting safety. He started 16 games last year and ranked second on the team with 81 tackles and eight passes defended. Tony Adams, who signed in Tennessee in March, is a leading candidate to take over Hooker’s practice reps opposite 2025 third-rounder Kevin Winston.
